Hsinchu International Academy (HIA)  strives to nurture a dynamic environment for teaching and learning, as well as exceptional preparation for future study and success.  HIA delivers a comprehensive international education to Taiwanese and expatriate students in grades 7-12 - preparing students for successful post-secondary studies both in Taiwan and anywhere in the world.   HIA is a gateway to universities and colleges around the world, including the United States, Canada, Australia, U.K., Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, etc.

Our goal is to establish and maintain an institutional culture conducive to meeting rigorous academic standards through standards-based instruction for all students.  Learning at HIA emphasizes a student-centered climate tailored to accommodate student’s unique learning needs. HIA is a Experimental Institute licensed by the Hsinchu County Bureau of Education under the Enforcement Act for Non-school-based Experimental Education. HIA is also a registered education institution at the College Board (CEEB code: 158680) and shall seek accreditation candidacy status with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in SY2024-2025.
