Hsinchu International Academy (HIA) is an Experimental Institute licensed by the Hsinchu County Bureau of Education under the Enforcement Act for Non-school-based Experimental Education. HIA is an authorized IELTS, AP, and SAT College Board Test Center (CEEB Code: 158680) and is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

HIA strives to nurture a dynamic environment for teaching and learning, as well as exceptional preparation for future study and success. We deliver a comprehensive international education to both Taiwanese and expatriate students in Grades 7–12, preparing them for successful post-secondary studies in Taiwan and around the world; including the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan.

Our goal is to establish and maintain a school culture grounded in rigorous academic standards and supported by standards-based instruction for all learners. classes such as PRIDE Time Advisory, Character and Community, Public Speaking, and Life Education in the upper grades. These programs help students

build self-awareness, confidence, empathy, and leadership, while nurturing essential skills for life beyond school—communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and responsibility.
