Academics
HIA students receive offers from prestigious universities across the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, including many Global Top 100 and Top 50 institutions.
Their intended majors span a wide range of fields,
including Law, Veterinary Science, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, Data Science, Business, and Art & Design,
reflecting strong academic preparation and thoughtful exploration of individual interests.
Many of these offers also include scholarships or placement in honors programs.
College Counseling Services
In order to prepare our students for college applications around the world, HIA offers College Counseling services with parents and students to map pathways for the continuing education journey around the world. HIA College Counseling classes, in Grade 9 to 12, provide students with individualized support related to their post-secondary transition to colleges/ universities. We also organize international college fairs, college admission officer visits and college counseling seminars in order to help our students and families to stay updated on the latest trends and opportunities in regards to college application.
Support for Standardized Tests
PSAT/ SAT
HIA implements programs to help students to prepare for the SAT, including SAT-prep camps. All students are expected to sit for the PSAT and SAT examinations. HIA designates specific PSAT/ SAT exam dates in our regular school calendar and exams can be completed at HIA.
English Proficiency Test: IELTS
HIA prepares students for English-proficiency test, such as IELTS, which are required for some universities. HIA implements IELTS tests on-site for all students and is also the only official IELTS test site in the Zhubei-HSR area.
